Harvey House
Set in Austin's Rosedale neighborhood, this 1935 bungalow was rebuilt from archival photos and drawings to hold its original form, then extended with a new addition that wraps in a U around an existing oak tree. Salvaged trim, doors, and longleaf pine floors carry the house's history into the new construction, while a burnished black stucco addition marks a clear, confident line between old and new. Inside, the two eras dissolve into one continuous, light-filled home — with playful, adaptable spaces built in for a young family to grow into.
